April 14, 1945: a skipper loses his submarine because of a malfunctioning toilet. Worse: it was a German U-boat! I thought those people knew how to engineer things!
As we know, the Germans like to over-engineer and complicate the hell out of things. This is just one example. It'd work perfectly under normal conditions, but near Scotland everything's going to be much different and parts will fail. If they had just gone with a nice and simple device like the Japanese like to use, there'd be no problems.
