Mike J. gets a no-prize that weirdly evokes Custer's Last Stand for bringing us news that "grown-up" games are coming (as it were) to the Wii. Unfortunately the video's gotten blocked, so the incomplete text is all we have. I'm actually a bit surprised it's taken this long.
Well, Nintendo has always tried to keep its content toned down, through clever use of licensing and lockouts, ever since the original NES. Remember when they ordered the fatalities removed from Mortal Kombat on the SNES? The Wii was additionally blocked off by the "casual gamer" marketing scheme, which not only relieved Nintendo of the burden of finding ways to fund a system full of advanced hardware and consequently the motive to compromise on their family-friendly ideals to maintain a profit, but also made all the independent programmers, traditionally the most productive generators of shoddy adult-only games whose only appeal is their "adult" factor, look to the more powerful XBox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles for supporting their unlicensed games.
