Seems Simple Enough
It would seem the Democrats have dropped all pretense and are simply handing money out to whomever they please, for no particular reason at all. Considering they're already spending trillions of dollars they already don't have, what's a few more billion between friends?

1 - are these retired folks completely ineligible for any retirement benefits, or just those named?
2 - how much do they expect $250 to actually help? It might cover groceries or utilities for one month.
3 - Why?

Posted by: John on October 16, 2009 02:39 AMYeah - but unless this happens to be in a highly concentrated area, I'm not sure it's enough to truly sway a vote. Could be wrong there plus the veterans don't tend to vote Dem, so it seems like a poorly planned move.
Not surprising considering who's planning it, but still.
