I Thought that Love Would Last Forever: I was Wrong

Lest you think they're all sparkling, like new... this is how most Alfas meet the end of their days. The first one I owned wasn't much nicer than this one. Ah well. I wonder if he'll sell me the tail lights?

The pictures remind me of Joshua's old barn photos. Here's to hoping he finds images as compelling at this Sunday's show!

I worked at a scrapyard one summer during college. I remember actually feeling shocked that there were scrapped sports cars in there. Only a couple. But I guess it never occurred to me that anyone would ever throw one away.

Eventually they can all get to the point they're just not worth saving. IMO, that's what determines the difference between a noob and someone experienced in the old car hobby... knowing a parts car when you see it, and ESPECIALLY when you own it.

It's sad, but also beautiful, in a strange sort of way. Even as junk, they still retain those lines.
