My little brother actually tried to tell me that urine is sterile because of the ammonia it contains. I had to explain to him the differnece between grease-dissolving and disinfecting compounds, and then finish up by telling him "If that were true, there would be no such thing as a bladder or urinary tract infection."

E.coli are particularly fond of this, which is why it's a really good idea for women to wipe front to back, rather than back to front.
