A 21-year-old Marshfield man who accidentally shot his roommate told police he was spinning the gun on his finger like they did in the "Old West" when it fired, Marshfield Police Chief Joe Stroik said.
Gun safety is apparently something that happens to other people.
My mother is still totally freaked out by my decision to keep a gun concealed on my person at all times. She's convinced that it's going to explode at any moment and kill me, and never seems to realize that, in nearly every case of a gun accidentally going off, alcohol nearly always turns out to be a factor, and in the few cases it isn't, near-criminal stupidity is.
Mothers tend to worry about those sorts of things. Smart people carrying are in more danger from some other idiot than they are from themselves.
