Dr. New
A new actor has been cast to be Dr. Who for the next set of new episodes of that series. The guy's name is Matt Smith, and no, I haven't heard of him either. The whole creative team will be new for this next season, due in 2010 in the UK at any rate, so it'll be interesting to see just how well it all turns out.
duh, we're americans. we've never heard on _any_ of the actors before...

Posted by: mrfred on January 6, 2009 09:25 AMActually, I had. Used to watch the show back when Tom Baker was the Dr. I tried to watch it when I was on vacation and found it to be rather ghei. Something about the Dr.'s daughter from the future not having a name and being nothing more than a highly-trained soldier (who, even though the attacking aliens were doing nothing but the zombie-stumble at them was about as accurate as your average Stormtrooper) that didn't even get a name.
And it went downhill from there...
