Estimated Aging

So, how old is your car? Or cars, as the case may be. Ours:

  • '71 Alfa Romeo Spider: 51 "people years" old.
  • '88 Alfa Romeo Milano: 27
  • '01 Chrysler PT Cruiser: 77

Not too shabby!

My 2006 Subaru is 21 years 5 months.

While amusing, I'm not sure it's close to accurate. Of course, I'm not sure it's supposed to be accurate, but in the interest of being a complete geek, I'm thinking that miles over years of service is more important, with some modifier for years in general (because even sitting there ages a car - think of the seals, rubber/plastic parts, corrosion in general, etc.).

And yes, now I've completely over-thought an amusing simple concept. Without even having a single drink!
