Sadly, as you well know, that's the weltimage of the South...that, and unfortunately old re-runs of The Dukes Of Hazzard and Hee-Haw..

Because nowhere is the horrific damage caused by a tornado more evident than at a trailer park, news crews--always eager for that Pulitzer--descend on a trailer park like blowflies to a corpse! The carnage there is just too much to resist!

Because of that, anyone who watches the evening news or CNN now KNOW that everyone in the South lives in either a mobile home or a tarpaper shack somewhere, we seldom wear shoes, and all have monster trucks parked out front.

But that's ok--if the world at large chooses to underestimate we Southerners that way, fine.
That means we win. :-)
