The Air Force is mulling over installing nuclear reactors in an effort to "green up" its air bases. As long as they can't be mounted under the wing of a B-52, it should be safe enough. Well, until the "real" greens get wind of it, at any rate.
Heh... wouldn't a flying fortress powered by plutonium instead of jet fuel be neat, though? And if it gets shot down, it'll give a whole new meaning to the term "blaze of glory."

Dude... no kidding... you really need a copy editor. A Flying Fortress hasn't gone down in a blaze of glory since the mid 60s. A manned B-17... say, mid 45.
Now, Stratofortress, that's a different kettle o' fish.

Posted by: scott on March 6, 2008 08:38 PMWell, I'm thinking they put up the reactors and tie them into the local power grids. That way any excess power has to be paid for by the power companies - and it helps green the rest of us up, too.
biatches.
