One of my relatives shelled out money for a tape of some guy's "redub" of the first Harry Potter movie. It was kind of funny, but not worth twenty bucks, especially when the guy kept running out of ideas that had any relation to the video he was dubbing, and would instead try to channel Hunter S. Thompson while discussing some fantasy that he would attribute to whoever was on screen, like Harry Potter dreaming of being the king of a tribe of jungle amazons or something.

The guy obviously made some good money off it, so I guess redubbing is the new fad all the cool kids are into these days. I wonder what will come next? I must be getting old, because it's becoming more fun to watch other people chase these fads than it is to chase them myself.
