F-35 Update
After delays resulting from electrical glitches and engine defects, the F-35 program is resuming flight testing. The much more interesting (and higher-stakes) F-35B is also nearing final assembly, with a first flight scheduled for some time in May of 2008.
Cool new airplane...with a great name! The original P-38 Lightning was a cool, ahead-of-its-time airplane too.
Though I'm sure the original Lightning and the Lightning II bear about as much resemblance to each other as a unicycle does to a Lamborghini.
