It's beginning to seem to me now that what we'll be looking at for at least 18 months is a stable Iraqi Kurdistan, a stabilizing Arab Central Iraq, and a chaotic, Iranian-driven sectarian conflict in the Shi'ite south. Progress, of a sort, and definitely worth pursuing.

If you'd told me two years ago it'd be the Arab section that precipitated out of chaos first I would never have believed it. Now that it has (or at least seems to have) happened, well hell, I guess anything's possible.
