Sum it Up

Lane G. gets a no-prize made of thread for bringing us this insightful look into string theory. My own reaction, when reading about it all, is more along the lines of an explosion. Or 'asplosion, as the case may be.

the funny thing about String Theory (all of its variants; there are at least 3 popular versions of it) is that it's all Theory, and nothing experimentally testable. It's a neat mathematical model for 'everything' that may have nothing at all to do with how things work.
