The MRO has successfully imaged one of the Mars rovers, and SPACE.com is there. Maybe now they'll be able to figure out what eventually happened to the Vikings, or the lost landers from previous missions.
Is it just me, or does the crater it's next to look like it had water in it once? That pattern in the bottom reminds me of a dried pond. Getting down into that would be of tantamount importance for me.
Of course, it could be caused by some completely benign thing as well, I'm not an areologist...
