Wow. Last time I saw a cat's fur stand on end like that was after I'd started the car without realizing there was a cat sleeping on the engine.

Snakes actually prefer to be held up high; it makes them less paranoid about being stepped on. Of course, they STRONGLY prefer being in a secure burrow with a modest source of heat, or at least somewhere they're not being handled by those crazy ape=descended beasts.

What I still get a giggle from is the costume is SOOOO green it completely trashes the white balance of the camera and the software we use to process the pictures. Computers, it would seem, are not meant to see this particular color.

Having seen it in person, I'm not sure people are either.

I think a PSA warning needs to be considered here: Is Ellen going to be performing in that with a group of people or solo? If solo, regular sunglasses will work just fine. If in a group of people in similar costumes, then I think I'll bring welding glasses...
