Well, not exactly triple-A, I just couldn't think of a Christmas song that'd rhyme with "SAM":
With these USB-powered air darts, you can shoot to annoy. Just hook the contraption up to your PC and control the darts' aim and firing mechanism with your mouse.

wouldn't it be a SSM, not a SAM? Unless, of course, we're going to be catapulting Joshua (or the cats) and then trying to hit him (or them)?

Set up a laser tripwire and one of these babies on your china display, and you have a fairly effective cat deterrent. At least until your cats figure out what's pelting them with Nerf darts in mid-leap all the time (see? SAM) and pee all over the launcher till it shorts out.
Personally, I don't think that would dissuade them. However, a gardenhose might. Put a little tracking device on the cat, set up sensors in the room so you can triangulate their position, and as soon as they head towards something they should, spray them down and chase them out of the general area.
Yeah, things'd get wet, but hell, it'd be incredibly fun to watch (and I bet you could set up a webcam and get people to pay to see the highlights!).
