Not Quite a Mermaid...
Christmas came early last week for Irish fishermen who hauled up an unexpected present in their nets while fishing off the English coast, writes Seán Mac Connell, Agriculture Correspondent.The Dunmore East prawn fishermen discovered that their catch included bottles of Carolans Irish Cream liqueur from the seabed.
No, I'd never heard of that brand either, but apparently it's both good and valuable. I wonder where that Irish Coffee recipie I had has got to?
Chocolate Almond Amore:
-vanilla ice-cream
-whole milk
-Baileys or other (such as this) cream liqueur
-Kahlua
-DiSaranno Amaretto
-whipped cream
-cherry
-cinnamon
-chocolate syrup
1 - in a blender, combine the ice cream, whole milk, a shot of the cream liqueur, the kahlua, and two shots of amaretto and blend until smooth
2 - drizzle the chocolate syrup down the inside of a soda glass forming vertical lines on the sides.
3 - pour in drink mixture, top with whipped cream and cinnamon, add cherry on top
4 - drink until happy. Very happy.
5 - have horrible hangover
6 - repeat
