Wow - I'm way late in replying this post of yours, but just found it while doing some google searching around about Bremelanotide (which is what PT141 has been officially named)...

I thought I'd update your readers (and perhaps you too, if you haven't read anything new about this since your post) that this stuff IS real and being tested on both men and women - probably a year away or so from seeking FDA approval.

I get the latest tidbits of information and updates about this new drug on the 'Bremelanotide Bulletin' which has a newsletter post every month or so. The latest bit is they've finished testing different doses on men to find the optimum amount for single doses, and have just finished signing up women for 'in house' clinical trials too. Their earlier tests on women has also been posted and results for both sexes look very good.

Main stream media is getting into the act too. In the December 06 post to the Bremelanotide Bulletin there's a link to an article and video report made by ABC News (one interesting part of the video shows rats mating.. not sure if its the 'famous' part of the experiment where a female rat mounts a male though. LOL)

Anyways - just wanted to point out that Bremelanotide is no hoax and well on its way to finishing up tests on people (with a LOT of success).
