Yes - it looks innocent and sweet. Then you decide to pet it. Which is, apparently, a damnably offensive thing to do. However, once you start petting you do, at some point, feel inclined to stop. Which is, from my experience, even worse than starting the petting. Stopping is when you get the claws. The claws that leave the scars...

Outback at the two different bird feeders we see somewhere in the neighborhood 50+ birds, to include starlings, pigeons, doves, finches, and the occasional hummingbird.
Now, mind you, this doesn't change my opinion that, if you dig far enough into any religion, you'll see that evil incarnate has fur and purrs, all while plotting your death.
