Salaam Pax, the original grandaddy-of-them-all Iraqi blogger, has started a new blog. He was always a little more optimistic than Riverwind (with her, it's hard not to be at least a little more optimistic), and a little more pessimistic than the guys at Iraq Now. Maybe if we read all three we'll get a better handle on it all. Yeah, right...

I like Salam... he was accused both of being a Ba'athist plant and a CIA plant back in the day... He was not anti-war enough for the anti-war types, not pro-war enough for the pro-war types. Furthermore he was well-off (obviously, since he was blogging) and dissing Saddam and his sadistic offspring online, liked to drink and knew more about western pop-culture than many of his readers.
Darn man wouldn't fit into anyone's stereotypical images. :)
