Because anyone who tries to be any kind of leader in any kind of field is obviously crazy, or at least criminally insensitive to those who don't have as much ability as the "leaders" (an imperialist colonialist social construct if ever there was one) have. Only suffocating bureaucracy can hope to save us from the horrible psychopathic "leaders" that keep driving our corporations to ever greater feats of research and engineering.

"Stockholm syndrome" was named that way for a reason, folks.
