Presenting, for your amusement, A tale of woe concerning a Volkswagen, a tow company, a lawyer, and a cop.
We've had both our cars towed by the parking nazis that work for our development. The first time around it was the Cruiser, which had a valid parking sticker, and we should've done something similar to what this gentleman did. Next time we will.
Now that is crazy.
While we have had to deal with two towing at our apartment complex (not our cars but our friends) it was our mistake. We didn't get the little tag thingy in their car early enough. Of course I still think the company the complex uses is a bit over aggresive.

If they even think you're parked illegally, they'll tow you. Since these are college kids, they just call their folks and get enough money to get their wheels back.
But that is a messed up story. I want to see if their law suit sticks. That would be an interesting scam, if was anything other than a mistake on the repo's part...
Posted by: Ron on April 7, 2004 06:06 PMWhat annoys me is that after I moved into my current complex, where parking was first come, first serve visitors are to park in the back lot...they instituted a resident-sticker and visitor-permit system for night time. They're totally over aggressive about it and one friend already had his car towed. (his sticker was on the dash, not the mirror)
