Perdue University is working on a study trying to figure out why old people fall down. This is near and dear to our hearts, as my mom usually finds an innovative way to pitch herself head-over-heels about once every six months or so.
Don't forget she fell down the steps here while visiting (backwards).

Eventually, some breakdown occurs... a muscle just can't hold its position any more, or worse, a bone suddenly breaks... and when this happens, the person falls down.
Posted by: Tatterdemalian on November 12, 2003 04:39 PMMy more spectacular falls usually happen at work. I trip over ECG cables or get my feet tangled in the TV plugs taped to the floor against all OSHA rules. I no longer have dogs to trip over so maybe I will not break my neck for a few more years. lol
