Ex-Wrestling Star, 'Miss Elizabeth' Dies.
You remember her right? She was the glamourous one that married Macho Man Randy Savage in the wrestling ring. He used to hoist her on his shoulder after every event he won. Everyone was smitten by her.
I think she was wrestling's "sweetheart" at the time.
This really sucks.. I remember when Macho Man won his first world title at Wreslemania 4, and he looked over to her and she was crying. He then put her on his shoulder while she held the belt. She was WWF's first diva.
Posted by: richie on May 3, 2003 04:53 AMI loved Miss Elizabeth, she was the WWF's first true diva.
Rest In Peace!!!
Posted by: Dustin on May 9, 2003 04:00 PMits hard to believe that miss elizabeth is dead. its a very sad news. however it appears that many famous wrestlers have died at young age in the recent years. thats shocking.
Posted by: farid azam on May 10, 2003 04:41 PMYeah it sucks. I was out with a friend of mine tonight and we were talking about how she pulled her skirt off at summerslam that year. Miss Elizabeth was awesome. This is a real shame.
Posted by: richie on May 11, 2003 01:07 AMMiss Elizabeth was awesome the first Diva with realy class I wanted to be just like her I was shocked to hear she died i'll never forget watching her with Macho Man Randy Savage in the WWF God Bless you Liz
Posted by: Kerri on May 12, 2003 04:30 PMI had heard that Miss Elizabeth could have been killed by "Lex Luger". I also heard he was arrested the week before for hitting Elizabeth. I think this is a true tragedy and that her memories live on forever.
Posted by: Aaron Erdman on May 12, 2003 05:33 PMI'm saddened by this...domestic violence, no doubt and I wonder if 'steroids' and the vicious things they do to a mind after using for so long has anything to do with this.
Miss Elizabeth was awesome! My sons and I 'grew up together' watching WWF when it was still a good 'show' and not all the sleeze and hate we see now...sadly, an era is passed and the 'first lady' of it now gone....:(
Posted by: susan on May 13, 2003 12:10 AMReal simple, drugs and alcohol don't mix. Forget the conspiracy theories. Miss Elizabeth died because she was to drunk and high to swallow.
Posted by: Sepatha on May 13, 2003 11:41 PMIts really sad about Miss Elizabeth.but it wasn;t Lex luger falt he might got areted 4 hiting her but that don;t make him a murderare. he is really sweet.
Posted by: Donna on May 14, 2003 04:46 PMYou just got to know Lex Luger background he is a really nice if u don;t beleave me just e mail at devil_in_disguise21_2003@ yahoo.com
Posted by: Donna on May 14, 2003 04:52 PMMay the angels watch over you Elizabeth and guide you to your spot among them. God Bless You!
Posted by: lindy on May 15, 2003 03:39 AMIt is very sad Miss Elizabeth is dead. While we don't know for sure if Lex Luger had anything to do with her death it is a fact he physically abuse her. "Men" that need to feel powerful by beating up on women are not men. He should have took all that anger out in the ring or on someone his own size.
Posted by: Loulove on May 15, 2003 12:46 PMI am gonna really miss her and I am really hoping that Lex Luger didn't have anything to do with it, because he is one of my favorite wrestlers and so was she.
Posted by: shacoya on May 15, 2003 05:18 PMWow, this is great seeing how many people relly liked her.
Posted by: richie on May 16, 2003 04:33 AMThis is such a terrible tragedy. Miss Elizabeth was a beautiful person inside and out. What a terrible loss. I will remember the love that she and Macho man shared forever. That was love. That's how I will remember her, hoisted up on Macho Man's shoulders!! Your gone but NEVER forgotten!!
Posted by: jewel-lee on May 16, 2003 11:25 AMI was saddened to hear of the loss of Lizz she truley was the first wrestling diva. She was a class act. Lex is a bastard just for hurting her I hope he rots!
Posted by: charm on May 16, 2003 06:44 PMshe will be the wwe's biggest lost ..... she will be missed , we will never forget the diva that was true....
Posted by: pepsi on May 16, 2003 07:15 PMA great loss to the wrestling world !
Posted by: Pete on May 17, 2003 05:09 PMMy thoughts go out to Elizabeth's family and also of course Randy Savage. You have inspired so many fans and of course the current divas to be an icon and a legend of the ring, which you so deserve. My memory of you will always be in your happier times with Macho Man.
God Bless you Elizabeth, Always in my memories
xx
Such a shame.
Dont worry guys and girls, Lex Luger will have to live with the guilt all his life, even if he didnt cause her death.
Rest in Peace Elizabeth
