I know I shouldn't have to say this, but these are teenage boys after all: It's stupid to stick your head in front of a misfiring potato cannon. Mmmkay?
It is stupid to own a potato cannon, it is cruel to be firing frogs out of a potato cannon. This was not a child, a seventeen year old should know better. That is not to say I don't sympathize with his injury.
Posted by: Pat on April 16, 2003 02:23 PMWhat I love is that the mom says "I never thought any toy a child could order would wound my child like that." It's called obvious - anything that requires an ignition is DANGEROUS. I'm ashamed to say that I went to school in that town... but God Bless Texas anyway.
Posted by: Elizabeth on April 16, 2003 02:37 PMYep! It almost sounds a cruel, but he's getting what he deserves. And yeah, 17 is not a child and he should have had better sense. At least he'll live to teach his kids not to "play" with guns of any kind.
