Blame Canada!

See, thing is, I think there are a lot of Canadians who'd vote for at least some of the stuff on this list of the worst things about Canada. Especially the part about Brian Adams. Gah. Go do it for someone else man...

In the interest of equal time, things I like about our nothr'n neighbor:

Molson. Duh.
Toronto. I've never seen it, but anyplace they film the X-files has to have something cool going on.
Quebec. Provides a much more local group of Frenchies to make fun of (oh stop it, I know you make fun of them too).
Reminds me to smile when people around here start freaking out over 3" of snow.
Backbacon... mmmm...
Seargent Preston of the Ukon, a show I used to get up at 5:00 am every morning to watch in syndication. Although I have a feeling it wasn't produced by Canadians.
Sue Johansen. Boy, you Canadians sure are fascinated with, as she calls it, "bum sex". Seems like every 3rd call she takes is about the "no-no" place.

Oh, I'm sure there's more. What's your list look like?

XFiles was filmed in Vancouver (on the other side of the country from Toronto) but thank you anyway =) Seems the older I get the more anti-Canadian remarks I see.

1) The Montreal police.... THAT's a story... the quick version, my friend & I were in that wonderful city and went down a poorly marked one-way street and were accosted by the police, searched and detained for several hours, then issued tickets (in duplicate, one for each of us...) for several hundred dollars.... all because they cant' mark their one-way streets with signs!

my mate just got back from canada, said the best thing about canada is the departure lounge!(then again he was there with his companyy so...) i think it looks pretty amazing-im into snowboarding so would love to go there...its funny the way americans joke about canadians, sort of like us brits and the sheep shagging welsh!!!

Pam, how do you claim Scotty? Seems like I remember an American flag going up during the metal presentation at the Olympics and at several world championships. I very happily concede Jim Carey.

I have watched Scott Hamilton skate, in person, and he is truly magic on ice. I will watch ice skating any time, any place and in any forum.

sorry guys, apparently I pull things out of my arse =P Scotty's my favourite figure skater, and I must have mixed him up with Elvis Stojko (Canadian). Uhh well Hamilton is a Canadian city?!?

you may also blame Canada for Keanu Reeves. but we're redeemed by the Barenaked Ladies. and perhaps Avril Lavigne - even though she's not great she's made an awful big following.
