How in the world does an airplane clip the side of a hangar at an airport, killing everyone on board? Doesn't that mean the plane was not taking off on the runway?
I believe the plan was landing, not taking off. What I think is so ironic is the trip was only like 120 miles. That would've only been 2 hours by highway...

You can't pay me to fly anymore. My fear of heights has gotten worse and worse, to the point where I can barely stand to go up the stairs of my townhouse sometimes.
Posted by: Meryl Yourish on January 8, 2003 02:10 PMThe plane was taking off. Early word is some sort of mechanical failure. News just in of another plane crash in Turkey with 79 killed and 8 survivors.
I have to fly if I want to see the people who write this blog and my family in Maryland. Direct flight from Little Rock to BWI takes 2 hr. and 15 minutes.
