When Scientists Attack

Ok, I always thought the 50s and early 60s were a time when blind obedience to authority lead to all kinds of weirdness in the US. This pretty much proves the case. Ten years later the keepers would've beat the scientists to death, but at that point anyone "in charge" tended to be obeyed without question.

This story literally makes me ill. The things that are done in the name of research are just incrediable. Almost as incrediable as some of the things done in the name of religion.

I can't stand the thought of experimentation on animals.

Well, that was depressing as hell. Thanks a lot, Scott!

But you make a valid point about how times have changed. On the other hand, if the scientists were working for the Department of Homeland Security, they would *still* be obeyed without question.
