The "not a drink" thing is an inside joke between Ellen and me. There are some words and phrases that are spoken but never explained, and sometimes you're too embarassed to ask what it actually means. As a kid I'd heard the phrase "high colonic", but never with enough context to understand exactly what it was. For some reason I got it in my head that it was some sort of fancy cocktail. It wasn't until I was in college that I learned otherwise, watching a movie. I was embarassed but thankfully had never actually said anything like "I'd like a high colonic" to a bartender.

Posted by: Pat on August 14, 2002 01:04 PMI thought "High Colonic" was some place you went when you mediated. Clicking the little cymbals and saying "ommmmmm" and your eyes roll back in your head and when you're done you say, "Oh, I just went to my high colonic place, I feel so relaxed!"
