Benefits of Chewing Gum
See!!!! I KNEW there was a good reason to chew gum!
Gum is probably my favorite type of candy aside of M&M's. Now I can tell Scott I can chew it for a GOOD reason other than being and obnoxious NY-er with big hair.
Don't forget makeup + jewelry onna beach!

The chewing of gum is said to be the world’s most common habit , with about
100,000 tons of it being consumed every year . Most everybody loves to chew gum , whether for the flavor or just for the simple pleasure of chewing . An average 94 % of all schools in Palm Beach County do not allow students to chew gum in school . Students should be allowed to chew gum . Since administrators do not allow gum to be chewed in school because students stick it below their desks , severe punishment should be issued to students whom chose to do so .
At work , chewing gum helps us concentrate on the task at hand . Students
concentration toward their work would perceptibly improve . Teachers would not have to work as hard in order to get his or her student’s attention . The education of the children would be enhanced . Ninety - nine percent of truck drivers find that chewing gum helps them stay alert at the wheel .
Chewing gum also allows consumers to relax . Students wouldn’t be so anxious while taking tests , quizzes , or just completing class work in general . In times as early as 1939 , scientific studies have shown how chewing reduces muscular tension and helps people feel more at ease . It is so well-recognized for helping stay alert at the same time it eases tension . The U.S. Armed Forces have even supplied chewing gum to its soldiers ever since World War I and still do today . One theory behind this is that the action of chewing stimulates a part of the brain called the hypothalamus , which releases hormones which serve to keep us alert .

You see, I am looking for scientific proof that chewing gum helps concentration as well. My World History teacher said that if I could find proof, he would allow us to chew gum in his class; as he is the only teacher that doesn't allow it. I hate to burst your bubble, but any teacher with half a brain is going to check up for plagiarism, and since it's a paper on CHEWING GUM, one of the first places they look will be the site of the #1 selling gum in America and probably around the world --wrigley.com-- which is in fact where you plagarized half of that article from.

If I am not chewing gum in every period I fall asleep. So why should it matter if we chew gum as long as we are still learning. You lean better chewing gum then you do sleeping. At my school if you get caught chewing gum then you have to write 200 sentences saying " I will not chew gum while attending East Middle School. " I usually just say " I am not chewing gum, I was chewing on my tongue ring. " ........ha ha lol
