The sad thing is that the people who believe in this stuff the most are the people least likely to believe anything that contradicts them. Fanatacism comes in all sorts of flavors
Hi Scott, Of course you are right, because you approach a subject of interest as a Scientist would. I tell people " I'll believe anything, I only ask for one thing, prove it."
We often think a Scientist most often asks
"why", more likely they will ask "how."
Many people look for astronomical phenomenon to explain things they believe.
My brother flew a 747 as Captain, a job not easily obtained, and yet he was absolutely certain that Y2K was going to be catastrophic.
Well, as far as I know, the cats are fine as are we. A true Scientific Mind will look for data to disprove his theory, the opposite is merely self serving. Joe
